about the class
This 60 minute class goes over fundamentals of training in muaythai. Each session begins with 3 rounds on the skipping rope followed by a group stretch. The body of the class varies from learning basic shadowboxing technique, footwork drills, contact drills with a partner, light contact sparring and holding/striking thai pads. Every session ends with a quick body conditioning routine consisting of various squats, sit-ups and push-ups. The intro muaythai classes have a friendly feel to them which we found has been effective in learning our style. This positive energy enables individuals from any age, sex and fitness level to participate and progress at their own pace.
