Dave’s Gym Muay Thai All-Level Basics class is designed to build a strong foundation in traditional Muay Thai while being accessible to both beginners and experienced, competitive members. The class covers core fundamentals such as stance, footwork, punches, kicks, elbows, and knees, along with basic Thai pad holding skills to develop partner coordination. Contact-based drills are a key part of the training, helping students apply techniques with timing and control in a safe environment. Advanced athletes benefit from revisiting and refining the basics, which remain essential at every level of Muay Thai. Participants are required to bring boxing gloves, shin guards, hand wraps, a mouth guard, and a protective cup; however, we offer loaner gloves and shin guards for new members. This class is a great way to sharpen your skills, improve fitness, and train in an encouraging, high-energy setting.

8 rounds of light contact sparring, suitable for all members. Whether you are comfortable sparring or looking to start getting rounds in, our weekly Friday evening sparring sessions are very accommodating. Contact level can vary from round to round, depending on your partner’s experience level. No bullying, no egos allowed. Must have boxing gloves and shin guards suitable for light contact sparring, as well as a mouth guard.
